The planned trip to see the skating in Heerenveen has been cancelled. The KNMI has issued a weather warning, and although it should be no problem to get to Thialf, it's not entirely likely there'll be trains back. According to the latest weather predictions, the ice storms won't hit the North before midnight so technically I should be okay, but JH has to go back down South which is likely to be impossible from about 9pm onwards. JH had already left but came back just before I was supposed to leave. And I would only be leaving because I'd told him I'd meet him at Thialf at 3. And he doesn't have a mobile, of course...
So we're going to do the same thing as we did the past couple of days: watch it on tv and discuss it on MSN. It's actually more comfortable and much easier to follow what's going on, but you miss the experience of standing in a crowded stadium and freezing to death. Better luck next year, maybe...
